(CHICAGO, IL) The Blackhawks hardly expected a low scoring affair after Saturday's 6-5 scoring explosion but, instead settled for a hard fought, tight 2-1 victory on goals by Marian Hossa, and former Flyer Ben Eager.

"It was pretty exciting," noted Eager.  "You know [I've] been working pretty hard this post-season. It was definitely a nice feeling to see that one [his goal] go in."

Hossa added, "Our line creates a lot of chances, but we weren't able to capitalize on the good chances.  And finally, it seems like the game before and today we got lucky bounces."

The two goals, scored twenty-eight seconds apart, energized the standing room only crowd of 22,275, who got to see their home team hold serve and take a 2-0 series lead, going into Wednesday night's game in Philadelphia.

Coach Joel Quenneville was asked about the momentum from the two goals.  He said, "[It] looked like the kind of game whoever scored first would have a big edge.  Kind of different, just the opposite of the first game. But the pace was fastm it was competitive."

Check out our post game audio with Duncan Keith, Ben Eager, Patrick Kane, Hossa and Antti Niemi, plus Patrick Sharp and Brent Seabrook.
