Weekend Sports Report - 6/12/10 PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 12 June 2010 07:47

with Les Grobstein, Steve Leventhal, and Alison Moran

So much to talk about in this show,we could have gone two hours.  Not just the Cubs-Sox and the aftermath of the Blackhawks Stanley Cup victory, but we had a special guest.  John Feinstein, Dook grad, author, joins us to talk about his new book, "Moments of Glory, " which chronicles the major golf championships of 2003, where Tiger Woods had an "off year" paving the way for four relatively unknown golfers.  Mike Wier, Jim Furyk, Ben Curtis, and Shaun Micheel all tasted victory at a major and had significant life changes as a result.

All that, plus talk of big changes in the College Football landscape as Nebraska joins the Big Ten (Big Eleven, and maybe  now the new Big Twelve.)
